The Manchester Muslim Forum (MMF) serves as a critical platform for fostering dialogue among Muslim communities while encouraging interaction with non-Muslims. Our mission is to bridge gaps, address pressing societal issues, and inspire innovative solutions that benefit all.
The Manchester Muslim Forum was established as a space for intellectual engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving. We invite leaders, academics, activists, artists, and thinkers to explore critical topics that impact Muslims in Britain and beyond. By creating an inclusive environment, we aim to bridge divides, challenge stereotypes, and contribute positively to social change.
1. Inclusivity: Engaging voices from all walks of life.
2. Dialogue: Encouraging open, respectful conversations.
3. Analysis: Promoting deep understanding through research and reflection.
4. Transformation: Driving positive societal change through innovative solutions.
MMF was co-founded by Manchester based academic Dr Sadek Hamid, who has researched and written widely about the British Muslim experience. He is along with other Muslim academics and activists thought it was necessary to bring together different voices from within Muslim communities to publicly discuss the collective challenges facing British Muslims and engage in respectful dialogue with non-Muslim commentators, writers and activists. The MMF is a grassroots based CIC that aims to contribute to shaping a future that is better for all.
